Thanks for this review; this looks like an extremely interesting book. I don't know if Etulain addresses Basque culture, but Basque dance is it's own culturally specific dance form, at once elegant and exuberant.

Since the book deals only with my first 11 years, there's no mention of Basque dancing here, but there is considerable comment about the Basques, especially about my father, Sebastian Etulain, who came from the province of Navarra, in northern Spain, the Basque country.
